“Knowing that college is expensive, I am so thankful for the opportunity to have received this scholarship. It has been a blessing to me because it has pushed me to keep pursuing my dreams of receiving my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Not only has this motivated me to continue with my education, it has also pushed me into getting more involved in the medical field by getting Certified as a Nursing Assistant and getting an on campus job by working in the nursing lab where I help distribute & organize the equipment, while I also get to learn more from the current nursing students and get more familiar with the medical equipment. I am currently attending Concordia University-Chicago majoring in Nursing, with a minor in Spanish. I am also a part of Latino Student Union, where I have made wonderful friends & plan on being on Student Nurses Association.
